What my clients say
Why choose Hypnotherapy?
It’s one of the most effective (and efficient) forms of therapy out there.
A study of 2,000+ journals by Alfred A. Barrios, Ph.D found that the average client success rate for hypnotherapy is 93% after just 6 sessions. This was compared to a 38% success rate after an average of 600 sessions for psychoanalysis and 72% after 22 sessions for behavioural therapy.
It’s backed by hundreds of credible scientific studies.
From Harvard to Stanford, countless institutions have now verified hypnotherapy as an effective tool for issues like weight loss, pain management, smoking cessation, stress and anxiety, phobias, sleep issues, and much more.

FAQs
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses hypnosis to induce a trance-like state in which individuals become highly focused and open to suggestion. It is often used to address various mental and behavioural issues.
How does Hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy works by guiding people into a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus. In this state, the therapist can suggest positive changes in thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, which subconsciously are adopted by the person to facilitate temporary, or permanent, change.
Is Hypnosis the same as sleep?
No, hypnosis is not the same as sleep. While people under hypnosis may appear relaxed and their eyes closed, they are in a state of focused attention. They remain aware and responsive to the therapist's suggestions.
Is Hypnotherapy safe?
Yes, when conducted by a trained and qualified professional, hypnotherapy is safe. It is a collaborative process, and individuals cannot be forced to do anything against their will.
What qualifications do you have?
Janelle Kee-Sue is a Certified Life and Mindset Coach with the Transformation Academy, accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Practitioner, Self-Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner with the NZ School of Professional Hypnotherapy and is completing a Diploma in Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy and NLP with the New Zealand School of Professional Hypnotherapy.
How many Hypnotherapy sessions will I need?
The number of sessions required varies depending on the person and the nature of the issue being addressed. Some concerns may be resolved in a few sessions, while others may require more long-term treatment.
Can anyone be Hypnotised?
While most people can be hypnotised to some degree, the depth and effectiveness of hypnosis can vary. A person's willingness, comfort level, and ability to relax can influence the hypnotic experience.
Will I lose control during Hypnosis?
No, people under hypnosis retain full control over their actions and cannot be made to do anything against their values, moral code or will. Hypnosis is a collaborative process, and individuals can choose to stop the session at any time.
Is Hypnotherapy effective for everyone?
The effectiveness of hypnotherapy can vary from person to person. While many people experience positive outcomes, results are influenced by factors such as individual responsiveness, motivation, and belief in the therapy.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, you can pay for in full, monthly, fortnightly or weekly. Simply discuss your options with Janelle.
What happens if I can't make my session?
If you are unable to make a session you must let Janelle know at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule your session. If 24 hours' notice isn't possible, you will only be able to reschedule if there is availability. If you are unable to make your rescheduled session, it will be cancelled and a refund cannot be provided. You would then move onto your next scheduled session and skip the session that was cancelled.
